Positioning
You've Done the Work. Now Make Sure Your Experience Is Positioned Like It.
Strong nursing experience alone does not always translate into career advancement.
Moving into leadership requires being able to clearly communicate your experience, accomplishments, leadership philosophy, professional impact, and potential.
Whether you are a charge nurse preparing for your first formal management role, pursuing your first nurse manager position, preparing for your next leadership opportunity, strengthening your professional brand, or preparing for a major DNP presentation or defense, Nurse Leadership Advisory provides practical guidance grounded in real nursing leadership experience.
This is not generic career coaching.
It is personalized guidance from a nurse leader who understands healthcare, understands hiring, understands frontline clinical leadership, understands formal management, and understands what it takes to communicate professional value clearly.
Nursing Doesn't Run 9–5. Career Support Shouldn't Either.
Your Career Doesn't Need Another Appointment.
Nursing schedules rarely fit neatly into a 9–5 calendar.
Whether you are coming off a night shift, working three 12-hour shifts, balancing family responsibilities, completing graduate school, or simply trying to advance your career without adding another appointment to your week, traditional coaching can be difficult to fit in.
Nurse Leadership Advisory was intentionally designed around the way nurses actually live and work. Submit your materials when it works for you. Dr. Beth Moran personally reviews them and delivers detailed, individualized feedback you can watch, read, apply, and revisit on your schedule.
No Zoom Required
No need to coordinate calendars or rearrange your work schedule.
Submit on Your Schedule
Complete intake forms, upload materials, and record interview responses when it is convenient for you.
Personally Reviewed
Your work is personally reviewed by Dr. Beth Moran, DNP, RN, NE-BC — not outsourced.
Feedback You Can Revisit
Replay personalized Loom reviews and return to written recommendations whenever you need them.
Career support for nurses whose schedules don't fit neatly into a coaching calendar.

About
Meet Dr. Beth Moran
Dr. Beth Moran, DNP, RN, NE-BC, brings more than 26 years of nursing experience and more than 23 years of progressive nursing leadership experience to Nurse Leadership Advisory.
Beth's leadership journey began at the frontline. Before moving into formal nursing management, she spent approximately 10 years as a Charge Nurse, developing extensive experience leading nurses and coordinating care directly within the clinical environment. That frontline foundation was followed by more than 13 years in formal nursing leadership roles, including service as a Nurse Manager within Yale New Haven Health.
She understands both sides of the leadership interview table—and the transition from being the nurse others naturally look to for leadership to becoming the person formally accountable for a team, operation, and outcomes.
Leadership Journey
Leadership Built From the Frontline Up
Dr. Moran's leadership experience was developed progressively across more than two decades—not learned only from a classroom, certification program, or coaching course.

Charge Nurse to Nurse Manager
Ready to Move From Charge Nurse to Nurse Manager?
Being a strong Charge Nurse and becoming a successful Nurse Manager require overlapping—but different—skills.
Dr. Moran knows this transition personally. Before entering formal nursing management, she spent approximately 10 years leading from the frontline as a Charge Nurse. She then progressed through hospital supervisory leadership, assistant nurse management, and nurse management.
Charge Nurses often already carry significant leadership experience—they simply need to translate it into the competencies and language hiring leaders evaluate.
The transition involves learning how to translate frontline leadership experience into the language hiring leaders are evaluating:
- Leadership without formal authority
- Clinical decision-making
- Delegation
- Conflict management
- Staff support
- Patient flow
- Accountability
- Quality
- Communication
- Operational thinking
- Readiness for people management

A Deliberate Service Design
Traditional Coaching Gives You One Conversation. This Gives You Feedback You Can Revisit.

This asynchronous model is an intentional design choice — built so expert nurse leadership guidance fits the way nurses actually work.
Dr. Moran personally reviews the work and provides individualized guidance through:
- Loom video feedback
- Written recommendations
- Edited documents
- Scorecards
- Career roadmaps
- Structured feedback
- Templates
- Personalized action steps
Review your feedback whenever you are ready. Replay your coaching anytime.

Personalized
Your materials, goals, experience, and target role drive the recommendations.
Flexible

Why Nurse Leadership Advisory
Career Advice Is Different When It Comes From Someone Who Has Actually Done the Job.
There are thousands of resume writers and general career coaches.
Very few have spent a decade leading nurses from the frontline. Very few have progressed from Charge Nurse into hospital-wide supervisory leadership, Assistant Nurse Manager, and Nurse Manager roles. Very few have been accountable for multidisciplinary teams of up to 70 healthcare professionals.
She has been accountable for
- Staffing
- Quality
- Patient safety
- Payroll
- Patient experience
- Employee performance
- Bed management
- Resource allocation
- Service recovery
- Hospital operations
And even fewer combine that with
- A Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership
- ANCC Nurse Executive Board Certification
- Peer-reviewed nursing publication
- Scholarly peer-review experience
- More than 26 years in nursing
That combination is the difference.
Dr. Beth Moran understands the leadership journey from both sides: the nurse trying to earn the next opportunity—and the leader deciding who is ready for it.
